Tagalog or English?

          Language is the main reason why the humankind is now the most intelligent life form on Earth. It helps us communicate to other people. Because of it, we are able to make civilizations, cultures, and even nations. Different languages in each nation but still, one word in one language have a counterpart in another. Language in our country for example, is still used but it is altered by other languages. So what really is more important? Our Mother Tongue or fluency in other language like English?

           For me, I will choose my Mother Tongue because it is the language that I am using since birth. It is the language that I'm most comfortable to use and it is the language that i don't have a problem when using it. I also understand more things using the Filipino language because I can easily understand it. I am also a Filipino so it is my duty to use my people's language as my main way of communication. I also chose my Mother Tongue because it signifies our freedom as Filipinos.

          It doesn't matter if our language is different, we could still understand each other because of our knowledge. Language is what we need for us to communicate. If we cannot communicate, there will be misconceptions that may lead to bigger problems. Language is very important to us. We should use our knowledge of language in a good way for us to live a peaceful life.
